Chic, colorful Fall Wedding at Grounds For Sculpture

Hannah and Anthony's wedding day couldn't have had a more perfect setting: a sunny late October day with temperatures just right at a comfortable 70 degrees at the beautiful Grounds For Sculpture. Nestled in Hamilton, New Jersey, Grounds For Sculpture is more than just a sculpture garden; it's a one-of-a-kind location offering couples a truly unforgettable experience for their wedding day. This isn't your typical wedding venue—it's a haven for those who crave something different: a venue that is modern, nontraditional, unique. Its 42 acres of landscaped gardens, adorned with nearly 300 contemporary sculptures provides endless opportunities for photos.

We started off at the tranquil Water Garden where Hannah & Anthony shared their first look. Hannah exuded timeless elegance in her Sarah Seven Rosanna gown, elevated by a delicate pearl veil. I love that she added a modern twist to her classic look with a chic pearl headband and matching accessories, showcasing her unique style with effortless sophistication. Anthony also made a stylish statement with his look by opting for a midnight pin dot tuxedo jacket from The Black Tux. Together, they epitomized the art of blending personal style with wedding attire.

When it comes to capturing natural portraits, time is everything. We made sure to carve out a substantial amount of time for portraits, ensuring we had plenty of time to explore all the beautiful spots Grounds For Sculpture had to offer. We took a leisurely stroll across the iconic Monet bridge and wandered through the Red Maple Alley, soaking in every moment and snapping photos along the way. Finally, we rejoined Hannah, Anthony, their families, and their wedding party at the amphitheater, ready to kick off a celebration filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories.

When Hannah initially reached out and shared her vision for her wedding photos I was beyond excited. But when she shared she was also hiring Flowerchild Florals, I was absolutely thrilled. Chelsie of Flowerchild Floral brought her creative genius to life with a stunning array of vibrant and unconventional fall florals to fit the vibe of this funky, cool venue. I don’t know how she does it, but Chelsie always outdoes herself. Each wedding is different from the last, but its own beautiful masterpiece. The bridesmaids, adorned in mix-matched dresses of terracotta, navy, sage green, and champagne, carried bouquets bursting with tonal hues of red, pink, yellow, and blue, accented by lush velvet ribbons. In contrast, Hannah’s bouquet was a kaleidoscope of pink, purple, orange, and lime green, elegantly tied together with a chartreuse velvet ribbon. This marriage of colors and textures created a visual feast that perfectly complemented the artistic charm of the location.

As high school sweethearts, this day had been a long time coming, and the love and happiness surrounding Hannah & Anthony was beautiful to witness. Surrounded by their closest friends and family, they exchanged vows at The Nine Muses - a breathtaking setting featuring nine stone and granite statues suspended over a tranquil lily pond, providing a serene and ethereal atmosphere for the couple's heartfelt ceremony.

Following the ceremony, guests made their way through the gardens before moving indoors for cocktail hour and reception. Held in the modern, all-white galleries, the space served as the perfect blank canvas for the vibrant florals and decor to pop. Against the clean backdrop, the bold colors and artistic arrangements took center stage, creating a striking juxtaposition between contemporary elegance and natural beauty. With each detail intentionally curated, from the whimsical bouquets to the minimalist decor, the reception was a celebration of love, art, and Hannah and Anthony’s unique style.
