Joshua Tree Elopement Inspiration

Back in December, Dom and I planned a trip to California to visit my family over the holidays and to finally cross some spots off of our travel bucket list. Joshua Tree was the first stop. It’s a place Dom and I both have been dreaming of visiting for a while now. We met up with our friends Jay and Mack and rented the sickest Airbnb in the middle of what looked like Mars (it deserves its own blog post - coming soon). We spent less than 48 hours in the desert (definitely not enough) but in that short amount of time, Joshua Tree really showed off: a beautiful sunrise, gorgeous sunset, getting scared shitless by a pack of howling coyotes, and of course - shooting a couple of friends as we explored the desert. Last but not least, finding a Southside Johnny and The Asbury Jukes LP in a stack of records in our Airbnb, and running into a woman literally in the middle of nowhere who lived in Asbury Park in the 70s. Joshua Tree, you are magical and I can’t wait to see you again soon.

If you’re new here, my fiance, Dom of Simple Love Films covers the video side of things. Here’s the video he shot, followed by my photos.

Major thanks to Jay and Mack - you two are troopers and put up with all of our shenanigans :)
Where shall we shoot next??

Like What You See?

I’d love to chat about your elopement
